NREGA Job Card List and Atal Pension Yojana for Indian's
The National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NREGA) is a flagship programme of the Indian government that aims to provide employment to the rural poor. The Atal Pension Yojana is a similar programme that provides pension benefits to the elderly and the disabled people residing in rural areas.

Both of these programmes have been subject to much criticism for their low implementation rates, with little emphasis on RWAS (Rural Water Supply), RWS (Rural Roads), and other infrastructure development initiatives.

To make matters worse, there has been confusion over which job card is needed for applying for both programmes. This article will help you understand the job card list and how it applies to you, as an Indian citizen.

NREGA Job Card List

The National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NREGA) has been a major policy initiative of the Narendra Modi-led central government since June 2014. The objective of the NREGA is to provide job opportunities and financial assistance to rural households in order to reduce poverty.

As of May 2017, there are over 51.5 million people working under the NREGA scheme. Out of these, 38.8 million are employed in rural areas and 16.3 million are employed in urban areas. The NREGA provides jobs in a variety of sectors such as construction, healthcare, farming, and animal husbandry.

To be eligible for work under the NREGA, an individual must first register with their local employment exchange bureau (Bureau). After registering, an individual can apply for a job under the NREGA through the online application system called JANPAY or through an Employment Exchange Agent (EEA). If a person is not able to find a suitable job through JANPAY or EEA, they can also approach accredited NGOs or social organizations for work.

Work under the NREGA is either on a full-time basis or on a part-time basis depending on the sectoral requirement of the job. The average wage rate paid to an employee under the NREGA is Rs 480 per day. An annual quota of 100 days' employment per year is available to every eligible household under the program.

Atal Pension Yojana

The Atal Pension Yojana scheme is a government pension scheme started by the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2016. The scheme provides retirement benefits to adults who have not yet reached the age of 60.

To be eligible for the Atal Pension Yojana, you must first have an NREGA card. You can get an NREGA card from your employer or from the nearest NREGA office. Once you have an NREGA card, you can fill out a application form and submit it to your local Panchayat or Block Samiti.

Once your application is approved, you will receive a pension certificate which you can use to apply for pensions through the government's pension scheme. The amount of your pension will depend on how long you have worked on NREGA projects and how much money you have contributed to the scheme.

The Atal Pension Yojana is free of charge for workers who are eligible for Social Security schemes in their country of residence. If you are not eligible for Social Security in your country of residence, you will still be able to receive pensions through the Atal Pension Yojana if you meet all other eligibility criteria.
